Default Using Mityvac

So I bought a mityvac today in the hopes of bleeding the clutch fluid easily.
I followed the instructions here: http://www.performanceworks1.com/ls1...h_bleeding.htm , but there seems to be no difference or result. I stuck the fitting into the hole at the bottom of the resevoir, pumped it up to about 12, had someone pump the clutch, and there is no bubbles or fluid coming up the tubing, as I gather is supposed to be the result. So what is the proper way to use this thing?

Going to do this as well today after the drill mod. I'll let you know how it went.
