We are designing the twin flywheels, the twin disk is a real trick piece of art.
We got behind a bit but will be back on track here in a few days and will wrap up the design and getting prototypes deliverd to Monster for testing in a week or 2.

Thanks
Chris

Just got off the phone with Steve, everything looks good for the twins! He said he just needs to check some measurements and should start a full production run an about 10 days!!! Plus, possible group buy!!!

How come you guy want the twin disk so bad? Why not just go with a STG 7 or such? Just curious what the advantage is.

Not a clutch expert but we buy twins for the better drivability and holding capacity.Ussually the reason behind twins is that since you have 4 mating surfaces the material doesn't have to be so grippy/aggressive to hold high hp which makes them more daily driver friendly on slipability..Also the pressure plates do not have to be heavy, meaning a lighter clutch peddle.

I'd love to see the twins.About 60% of our clutch installs are twins since alot of cars are 700+rwhp and need a DD/track clutch. There current clutches have been working great.

Twins are coming damn soon!

I got the final production prototype from the machine shop on Saturday, there are 6 very small things that Chris has to fix and we're good to go!

The reason we do not post pics until the units are finished is because many, many people like to copy things and we're starting to see an increase in that lately.

Expect 4 offerings ranging from 950-1750hp/tq ratings, we'll also have an 11" twin that will exceed 2000hp/tq ratings just for the fun of it.

Please note, if you have a single disc Monster and you want one of our twins we will be selling a "clutch pack" upgrade kit that will upgrade your single to a twin and you will still use the same pressure plate... there's a bone for you guys to chew on for a while.

Yep, just about ready to unleash the new Monster

There has been a crap load of design work going into this project, it's a very nice product Steve has dreamed up!

Thanks

Will the twin disk clutches have any adjustability, similar to a McLeoud soft-lok?

That's good news. I've been holding off on ordering a clutch until I see what Monster comes out with. I don't really need a twin being at only about 450-475RWHP but I really don't want a puck style clutch either. If the stage 3.5 was still available I would've gone with that in a heartbeat. At least the weather has been crap so I haven't been motivated to start my clutch swap anyways. Would like to knock it out next month though.

Steve - any ballpark for the base level offering as far as price? During the Christmas sale it sounded like the twin was going to be in the same ballpark as the price at that time.

No. The Mcleod Soft-Lok really isn't designed to be a street clutch.

Our setup will have a high plate load and low pedal effort just like our single disc stuff, there isn't a need for adjustability.

I'm going to try to get the pricing for my entry level below $1k, the higher levels will not exceed $1500. Our 11" unit that will hold 2000hp/tq will not exceed $1500.
