That would be the exact reason you don't have a classic car show in a gravel lot.

Phoenix has one of the largest convention centers in the country, all of this carnage could've been avoided IMO. I don't know what they were thinking, some of the worst storms/tornados occur in January where I live.

Looks like its an auction to me, not just a car show. Hence the fact that there where a few non car show type vehicals there.

i find it hard to believe all those nice cars didn't come in trailers. or Did the storm just appear and not have enough time to drive the cars into the trailers? i need details, no news article or anything on this?

It looks as if the cars were being set up for auction (judging by the auction decal on windshield) and they were in a storm on a gravel lot.

Seriously, with that kind of money at stake, you think they would have watched the weather report and called off the auction. Someone will get fired for that i would say.

I hate to see all those nice cars ruined but Im sorry, those are some dumb shitheads. If you had a beautiful restored car and left it out in a storm then you deserve that treatment. Out of all those car owners, nobody watched the weather channel?????????

Drove past that on the way to Barrett Jackson, they were held the same time within miles of eachother. Everyone knew the storm was coming, Barrett Jackson had their tents staked down alot better luckily, some of the cars there did get a little dirty though. Yes it was also a auction...

Wait, so is the damage from rocks being thrown or from the tents/poles falling onto the cars? The video makes it look like the latter

Does insurance cover something like that even? damn

If insurance doesnt cover something like that, than what good is it?

Well if the tents fell on the cars, it would be the fault of the auction holders, but I'm guessing they made the car owners sign liability papers... so who knows.

I believe the auction house holds the car titles while they are at the auction. It is on the insurance company of Russo and Steele to pay the money out for the cars to get fixed. We have a thread about this in another forum, not sure if Russo and Steele actually paid out the money to get the cars fixed, totaled them, gave the owners.

The repairs will be the responsibility of whoever owns those cars at the time of the storm, if they are still owned by the owners of the car its their responsibility to carry insurance on it. Sucks that it happened to all these nice cars.
