Default speakers dont work

I just nought a new camaro and the speakers int the doors and sails dont

work but the hatch speakers do work i thought it was the radio so i swapped

it out with a known good radio and no difference then i checked the amp i

unplugged the amp plugged it back in no change. so is it a bad amp?

because i dont believe its a bad connection

have u checked the connections? Same thing happen to me and it turned out to be the connection from when the previous owner decided to "wrap" the speaker wire onto the terminal instead getting quick disconnects or soldering the connection

i have inspected the connections front and back they seem tight and wiggling them pushing in and puling on them has no effect nothing appears to be tampered with it all looks pretty much stock nothing aftermarket at all

grab a light tester and see if u have power. If u dont have power there check the connections on the amp.

the amp has power im sure of that because my backs work. the speakers in

the sail atleast i know are good because i swapped it with the ones in back if

i unplug the amp the backs dont work i know that all the speakers are

powered by the amp and that if the amp is faulty it may not be getting

contact at the harness for whatever reason

Have u tried grabbing the rear speakers and plugging them to the front to see if they work. My sails were so blown they would produce any sound.

Your assumption is incorrect. All speakers in a Camaro are powered by the Monsoon amp. In your Firebird, the tweeters (hatch and doors) are connected directly to the head unit. So it is possible to still have sound with the amp not working.

Have you checked the RADIO ACCY fuse? That's the one that protects the Monsoon amp.
