Default Ls1 Gurus,my car stall in wet weather!

Every Freakin time it rains or I go over a puddle my car stalls
and goes into lymp mode. Never fails. First I thought water was
getting into o2 sensor connectors(dropped frontend+longtubes)
so I covered them with electrical tape. Still the same problem.

Now its been like that for 3 days! I disconnected the battery
over night and still have the same problem. Im fed up
Has anyone have the same problem? Or heard of something similar
and again its only when it rains other than that I never have
problems with my DD camaro. Some people suggested that I
replace my 02 sensors. To top it of my scanner aint workin so
I will get the codes possibly later today and post them up.

it does sound electrical... the codes will help.

You said long tubes, do you have any exposed wires on the passenger side where the harness runs down the side of the body?... it goes RIGHT by the headers to the starter. If its even a little burnt, id unhook everything on the bottom and repair it from the top. Use some heat protective wrap over the finished product.

remove your MAF (mass air flow) meter, and let it dry out... more than likely you are getting the resistors wet, and causing it to malfunction... common problem.

Well went out and got me some new 02 sensors and.......problem solved!!!!!
car seems to run smoother than before. so I made sure everything was
tucked in and wrapped with electrical tape. Thanks guys. So is that normal
symptons of o2 sensors failure?

Yes that's normal. It also depends, did you use o2 extensions when you put the headers on? Or did you splice into the wires? If you spliced into the wires, water can still get in even if you used electrical tape. Best thing to do when using headers is to use the corvette style o2's.

I spliced the wires. Well this time I did get covette 02s and I still wraped
them with electrical tape lol.
