If unmodified you have an LS6 intake Manifold. There is a diff in the actual Parts # from a Fbody to z06 vette but its the same.

When picking a H/C Package, you need to determine what you use the car for most. A BIG IF when planning.

EXPECT to buy these things.....

Cam
Heads
Spring/Retainer/Locks
Gaskets
Fluids
Pushrods
Timing Chain
Oil pump
Lifters (maybe)
Dynotune
Rear Gear upgrade (3.73's)
Stall Converter (3800 or So)

Start pricing individual items and see if thats in your budget.

Dyno tunes run about 400$.

okay most usage of my car is almost a DD, i only drive it on nice warm days, no rain, deff no snow, also i take it to the track every now and then. im looking for a mean sounding cam to go along with my obnoxiously loud exhaust setup, i can deal with a rough idle, and im looking for a H/C setup for just a nice powerful midrange, nothing special, budget isnt really anything important, just not outrageously priced. any idea where to start? :/

thanks for help in advance you guys are great

start with a converter and put some money aside for a built rear and transmission. if I were you id put 3.73s and a 3600 stall. not to mention at least lower control arms and drag radials. you can have 500hp but without supporting mods you might as well have 200. its not an easy throw heads/cam and run 10s no prblem. you need to have all the supporting bolt ons before that and stuff capable of handling the power(tranny, rear). read through the threads and search and youll find all you need.

okay well yes i know you need all the supporting components before you can add the power strength of parts and grip are a must before any horsepower is added. im just getting a big head start on this H/C project so i get the best bang for my buck guess ill just read around! thanks

^ Regardless of that Crappy Comment.

We all need to start somewhere....

I would PM Mikey @ RapidMotorsports.

A sponsor here that IMO and based on Dyno results makes some of the nastiest N/A power set ups that last. Look on the Sponsor list.

here is the link.
