Default AMSOIL vs. K&N

Which air filter is better? Has anyone had both and noticed any differences? Any input would be appreciated.

Not trying to be a dick but do a search in the gen III external engine section. There are thousands of threads on this. You will read so many, you still will have no idea lol. K&N flow better but some say the oil trashes the maf. If it's done right, that's not the case imho. Tons go with paper filters. You will just have to read and make your choice.

There both right up there as two of the best...I had the amsoil one and the car ran good, its a little bit more pricey though....IMO 16-18 bucks for a oil filter is crazy, the 10 bucks for the K&N is high enough imo.

you'll never notice a difference in just a filter

many will argue the K&N style filters don't do a good job cleaning the air. and obviously its bad if you over oil them.

however,
i like being able to wash my K&N rather than pay for a new paper, i don't have alot of dust where i live either.

7yrs with one filter and a quick rinse and it looks 90% brand new...i like that
