Thanks...I'll get a price over to both of you. Below is a brief summary of what we will do. Please e-mail me or call and ask for Kyle if you have any other questions. We appreciate the opportunity to help you with your transmission.
Our modifications include adding clutch capacity to the 2-6 clutch pack, 4,5,6 clutch pack & 3-5 reverse. We will also increase the pressure in the transmission for more holding power as well as strengthen some internal components.

Please PM pricing.
Also, will this upgrade solve the 2-3 shift flare that some G8s have? Apparently there is a TSB out to replace some fluid seals on one of the shafts.

GeorgeInNePa: Yes, there is an updated pump stator and seal kit to address that problem. I will PM you the pricing.
Thanks!

No, the TSB (updated stator & sealing rings) does not apply to the Camaro.

so how much power will these 6l80e's hold with the upgrades?

We have modified/upgraded numerous units that are going in cars with 600-850 horsepower range. We do not have a way to test to see exactly what it will hold. We are making internal upgrades (clutch capacity, etc.), but until we develop a tune to go along with these upgrades, we are limited.

Any chance you will offer these new clutch packs with high-energy or blue frictions?
The red lined material doesn't have a good reputation around my area. H-E and blues have done much better.

Thanks for your questions...
We use a Raybestos Stage 1 Clutch. They do not make a blue clutch at this time. As far as using the high-energy clutches, yes we can use those if you prefer.

I might have to look into something like this as I am beating my head into the wall trying to get the 4L60 that come in my 04 SSR to hold, The SSR weights 4880 with me and fuel, I did take a small amount of weight off with a hood and wheels, I broke the engine so I went ahead and had the 4L60 gone through while I had the engine built a 700-750 hp Stroked super charged LS6, Well it has 12 1/2 wide M&H on the back and just breaking the engine in I turned off on a nice country road and went about 3/4 throttle, Tires broke lose and bang it hit the rev limiter and rolled to a stop, No forward gears just reverse so back to RPM, With the old engine as you can see I am not pushing it off the line, Is there any hope as they say it will work

Do you have any testimonials you can refer me to as to how well your 6L80 upgrades have help up at the dragstrip?
I'm currently on my 6th transmission (LS7 powered 2007 Corvette) but before pulling the trigger I'd like to talk to some people who regularly drag race their car.
Thanks in advance,
Christopher

Do you also supply tuning for the transmission with a purchase? I have heard that tuning is also a key to getting these to live?

Yes, tuning is a big part of it. We are not tuner’s but we will look at your tune if it is through “HP Tuners” & may have some suggestions. Thanks!

What is the maximum hp you think your upgraded 6l80e can handle. I'm at 573 rwhp with an hp tune on the trans. And no matter what the tuner guy does with the trans as in dif tunes it still seems to slip. I have a yank converter @3200 also. At the dragstrip of course.:D

Hello and thanks for the inquiry. Our website has some information on the 6L80E upgrades. It is listed under the "Services" Tab on our website. The other thing to do is to call Glenn, our service advisor, he can answer any other questions that you may have.

Yes i did get it fixed! Sent the 6l80e to circle-d for rebuild and also had them make us a tune. Bought a new TCM from a chevy dealer and flashed it to my vin. Loaded the tune from circle-d and all slipping problems over. I must say that i hav'nt had it to the track yet but i can tell it's ok now by the way it acts on the street. All the work was done at Va. Speed.

Update on my circle-d trans build.
Working great on the street as i only push about 600hp.
But on the dyno the other day when it got to 833rwhp the converter was unlocking so we having protorque set up a triple disc for this car.

Great to hear the trans is performing well. The Triple disc is a definite must at these HP levels. Let us know if we can help you with anything else.
