slave cylinder question
just got my trans out 2 replace my clutch 2000 camaro ss. i have a new stock slave cylinder that im replacing while the trans is out. only problem is i can not get the hydraulic line off the slave cylinder. im doing the job on the ground so its hard to move and see everything. is there a screw im missing where the line meets the slave or does it just pop out. i dnt want to break the hydraulic line im out of money at this point and have tried to look up how to do it online but am just not finding it.

The white plastic collar needs to be slid inward, towards the fitting. This will release the locking fingers and allow it to disconnect.
They can be a real pain, especially if there is dirt built up around the fitting. There is a special tool just for these quick disconnects, or you can try and use 2 small screwdrivers to push the collar in evenly and disengage the line from the slave.
