General Maintenance & Repairs - Ok so...

I changed my power steering pump, which was a major pain, my knuckles are shredded from trying to get the pulley back on. but now that the new ones is installed and everything, the pump still whines almost as worse then the stock one, its only whining when the car is hot. Maybe the steering rack might be going?

I wouldn't think the rack would make it whine. Did you make sure to empty the system and bleed it? I know air and contaminated fluid can both make pumps whine
