Default Duplicate PCM Program

I understand that a 98 PCM requires it's own version of LS1Edit(as opposed to years 99-02). I own a 98 PCM, and would like to have an additional PCM on hand just in case. Can I duplicate the existing LS1-edited program on the 98 PCM, then transfer that program to a non-98 PCM? Thanks, Glenn

No not directly because the VIN# and PCM ID are married to the downloaded flash file via LS1edit.

Is it plausible/possible to "re-identify" a second PCM with the identity of the first PCM? Glenn
