Default impala ss 2006 halo CCFL turning off

Hi guys,
so I installed a lowering kit from SSC and black CCFL projector headlights...for some reason the Halos on the right headlight turn off after a while of being on...i have to turn them off and then back on for them to light up...any ideas?

Bump. I have no idea. Anybody?

I've heard bad things about aftermarket lights for our cars.

It could be the little transformer on the bottom of the light, I accidentally got the transformer wet while cleaning the engine bay one day and it went out on me. But easy fix, ordered a new transformer from sabersports on ebay, very cheap $15 for 2 of them and that includes shipping, just have to email sabersports and tell them what you need and they will hook you up. The transformers do have a pos and neg wire on each, so when hooking them back to your light you will have to switch them around until your halos are bright, if you have them wrong they will be very dim. But really no big deal. Hope this helps, hope this is whats wrong.

Is it doing it with the head lights on? My car would do that to with the day time running lights. But with the head lights on it was fine.

I've sent two sets of those lights back. They do look sweet for about 2 months but after that they are a bitch. They fog up, flicker, don't fire properly, and that ballast either detaches and breaks or gets wet and dies.

If anyone buys a set from that seller, be sure to let us know how long it takes to get to you from Dublin, Ireland.

wow! I hope they at least give you a rub down with reacharound for that price. You got raped!

Here's a link to (a link to) replacement inverters...
https://ls1tech.com/forums/ls4-front...inverters.html

I'll be sure to update that thread if I have issues with these inverters.

I have HiDs and they're perfectly fine. However, you need h3 or h3c HIDs for the projectors and H11 in the stickers. They're not compatible.

BuffaloSS: I changed the CCFL inverters twice and the same problem keeps happening on the same side as well..a lot of people swear by switching from CCFL to LEDs which is what I am doing, they have to take the headlight apart by heating it up and stuff(you know for the glue) so it'll take some time...labours is a B**** over here.
I'll let you know how it goes once it's done though

It takes about 10min in a 175* oven to get these apart. Maybe 30min to swap out the Halos...and 20min to seal them up. Before I paid someone I'd get my hands dirty.

Hell...send'em to me and I'll do them for you for $300. ;D
