Default Clearing Codes Permanent?

I have two codes 1416 and 0440. I have fixed both issues to the best of my knowledge however, the SES light is still on. My question is, if I "clear" theses codes with my Diablo predator, will they permanently disappear even if issues still exists? Or will the same codes simply re appear a short time after I "clear" them. Thank you.

no they will not be permantely deleted unless the problem has been fixed. you will have to delete the codes and then run your vehicle through a couple drive cycles(open and closed loop) if the codes doesnt reflash then you are good to go.

^^^^ yes. for those who dont have access to tuning software they can leave the battery unplugged for a little bit and hook it back up.... that will clear codes. If the light comes back on...... your going to have to find the source of the problem
