are you asking what tools to use? simple hand tools will get the old in and new out in less than 30 minutes. get adjustable parts if you have the extra cash, too.

+1 for abjustable thats always the way to go with suspension. As for putting on bigger tires it will allow you to center the rear end which is mainly needed when the car is lowered

Get an adjustable pan hard bar and lower control arms. Might as well do both snce they are in the same area. I just installed both this afternoon, took about an hour to do. All you need are jack stands, floor jack, torque wrench, 18mm and 21mm sockets and wrenches.

you only 'need' an adj. PHB when lowering the car. it centers the rear back to true. it does nothing for fitting bigger tires.

Yes you will need an adj one. My rear is so far off center now it is horroble! I do have adj., but I hide mine from winter. That will be the first place I go. Alignment will be needed.

I think the cheapest UMI one that will help is a single adj right now they are having a 15% off sale and byunspeed has free shipping over $100. To center the rear just hang a plumb line off the center of the fender on each side and measure the distance from the axle face to the line on each side and adjust accordingly

The rotojoints are umis new bushing its supposed to provide good articulation and be almost as quiet as the poly end. They are also completely rebuildable

http://www.ws6project.com/user_stor/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=3110{102}899{160}1174

so this one would work for just simply upgrading over stock and for lowering springs...?

and i would need this grease they offer or could i get any grease from any auto store?

It would work if i were you look into the on-car adjustable much easier when you want to dial it in here's a link http://www.byunspeed.com/product_inf...oducts_id=8764
You don't have to get the grease but its always a good idea. I'm sure you could find it at an auto parts store if you had to

I've got the UMI on-car adjustable with a rod end on both sides. I like it alot. I couldnt tell any difference but I installed a ton of stuff at once, like my S60, Koni 4/3, and poly ends for my sway bars. My stock rear end with stock ride height was extremely off center. It was worth getting it just to fix that problem. I bet I had 2" more wheel sticking toward the drivers side than I did on the passenger side. It seriously looked like I had an aggressively wide tire on one side and a stock width tire on the passenger. Annoying. Great work GM.

something else had to be wrong. if there was really 2 inches difference, you car couldnt drive straight. was it in an accident, did you smack a curb.....something. there is no way it could be THAT off out of the factory.

either way, whenever you buy any suspension part, i would always get adjustable. you never know what you may do down the road, and theres no sense in buying 2 of the same part, just because you needed an adjustable one later.

I'm at my shop today making adj Pan Hard Bars & LCA All adjustble. I'll have (6) set of the LCA and I'm making (2) Pan Hard Bars, I'm also making (2) torque Arms all adjustable. When I get it all made I'l know how much I can sell it for , but it will be less expensive them most and be all adjustable with the good sperical ends

Nope, never in a wreck, never really any abuse like curbs. I've done some hard down shifting (which made for some hellacios skipping), but as I recall it's always been off like that. I've always been able to get it aligned...
