So I got rid of my six speed and installed a th400, as many us us already know that the auto tranny does not have a speed sensor I have already ordered the stuff I need to take care of that problem. My question is if I dont have the sensor connected will this affect the tune on my car? Since I did the swap its like my tune is gone I cant take the rpm as high as I could at first it red lines at 5500 as if it were still set at stock programming and the car just seems to run rough and not smooth as it did before the swap. So does this have anything to with my sensor not being installed yet or did my car just lose its tune for no reason what so ever?
