Street Racing & Kill Stories - My SS vs silver SRT8 Charger

I just raced this Charger around 6pm on i80 going towards Vallejo, CA. I pulled up next to him and he seemed to already know what kinda car I was in. I gunned it to let him know I'm game and he then got behind me. I hit it and he was fading back, but finally we found a good opening and he got on the side of me. We both hit it (I was in 3rd) and he was staying with me and by top of 3rd I was about a 1/2 car on him and by 4th I wanna say I had him by more than a car (I couldn't see him on the side of me and I didn't wanna look because I was making sure I didn't hit the center divider.

I have no idea if he was stock or not. I couldn't hear his car over mine. I have exhaust, lid, ls6 intake, ftra, LT's with ORY.

So basically I found out why my car isn't running like it should. I've been having the O2 sensor problem for well over a year now and today I FINALLY found out what it was. So I fix it and take it for a spin (boy does it feel better). So as I'm cruising on the freeway...what do I see! A black Magnum SRT8 with paper plates. He tries to do a fly by and I smash the pedal and he's about 1.5 cars in front and as soon as I hit my power band I stop him pull, hit fourth and I don't know what rpms I was at that point but I'm at his door and we had to hit the breaks. I get behind him and his lane opens up and smashes it and I follow...Damn, I almost smash into him bumper cuz I was gaining on him. I wish we had a bigger opening to get a better run

Hey man since I fixed my O2's maybe I can make a trip down there and we can get a few runs in. My friend wants me to run a Mach 1 out there with bolt ons and full exhaust so it would be local anyway.

I've wanted a 03/04 Cobra since late '02 early '03, but I don't think I'll get one. If I get one I'll have to sell my SS which I doubt I would do (at least not anytime soon). Besides I'm sure it would be hard to get a loan for a 03/04. Since I have a family I would love to get a Trailblazer SS, 300c SRT8, Charger SRT8, or Jeep SRT8 someday. '09's were the last year of the Trailblazer SS so I may shoot for some kinda SRT in the future.

i'm pretty sure Lazurus Man was the one who shot the vids but Deuuuce would be the one to clarify that. they shot it giving info between the G8 gt and the Charger SRT8 with different set ups. so if they run, it would be very informative as we all have to come to expect from Deuuuce.

Keep the SS most definitely.

This kind of backs up my experience with a stock SRT8 I think... unless that G8 GT was excessively faster than I am. ;)

The first vid the car is I/E and dyno tuned. As you can see, it's definitely quicker than the G8 GT also I/E and tuned.

The second and third vids are I/E with stock tune put into it. The cars were about dead even depending upon gearing in this configuration.

Dyno tune was definately night and day difference. :chug:
