Need a little advise. What would U do?
Here is the deal.
My car is a 2000 with 123K (hwy ofcourse).
Have been to the track once. Alot of city driving.
All fluids changed religiously. To look @ and drive you would never know how many miles are on it.
Now, to my question.
I will be purchasing a TCI SS3600 in a few weeks.
"Should" i have the tranny rebuilt before hand, or can i simply have the Tq conv. installed & get after it.?
I am currently having no prob's with my tranny. Have had the car custom tuned & Tq Mngmt deleted, shift points changed, etc... What would you do, & what can i expect to pay. TIA.
Matt.

123K is a lot of miles on a stock tranny. If torque management is gone, a hard hitting stall converter is probably gonna be enough to grenade it....I would rebuild/replace now rather than have the tranny explode while your cruising around.....my stock tranny went after having a TCS converter in it for less than 10K miles. the car itself had only 56K when this happened. I think if your at 123K miles your driving around on borrowed time right now. good luck and enjoy the new converter.
