i was thinking about getting a Pioneer Fh 8000 BT but will that fit in a 98 camaro?

Yes it will, I'm in the process of installing mine. There are tons of threads, here's one on a Firebird but everything is pretty much the same process except the bezel. https://ls1tech.com/forums/stereo-el...installed.html

You either have to modify your own bezel OR buy one from a sponsor, 6LE sells them.

Its easier on the Firebird than the Camaro due to the bezel, but its doable. BTW, thats my thread. Thanks for linking it. There are some threads around showing installs on Camaros too. Also, there are some sponsors that sell new bezels for the Camaro and Firebird. They are a bit expensive though, but may be an only option for those that don't want to cut up their stock one or make a custom one.

Here's a test-fit picture of my setup, microphone & wires will be moved and hidden as best as possible... project is taking longer than I wanted due to limited time on weekends, but it'll get done soon ... Gotta re-wire new speakers, fun

My wife got it for me for this past xmas (bezel and Nav) ... she said she got the bezel from "the guy that sells them on LS1tech" ... I guess that's Mark (6LE) Nice piece
