alternator.. okay so the wire that connects to the top of my alternator in my 2000 ss camaro broke off... i need a new one.. will this little snap on connection prevent my car from charging at all ... just a quick question .. noob here!!

It should still charge some without the field/exciter wire, but charging will be noticeably reduced. I would fix that ASAP.
