Need help choosing a rear!
Ok so the time is near and I'm amassing parts for my D1SC build.
I need a rear to replace my stocker but I'm really undecided on what path to take.
Problem is I want a solid rear but I dont want to break the bank! The car will see mostly street time with a few track days here and there.
I was looking at 12 bolts for how cheap they are and 9's for the strength and the torque arm mount.
The center section choice also has me stumped. In your guys opinion what would be the best one for a high hp street car that sees track time often?
Any opinions/thoughts/suggestions would be very appreciated!

Well having seen some complete 12s for $1500 that would be nice but I would say I could go as far as $2500. I'm thinking of getting a used one mind you.
I just dont want to spring to that $3-3500 range for a new one.
It's is tough choice that I'm just not sure which way to go with. I need some experienced opinions.

6 Speed or Auto?
6 Speeds with a lot of power Id suggest a 9in, 12 bolts you can get away with it..but a 9in will last for sure.
Im doing a Spooled 12 bolt in my 6 speed..a little stronger, less stuff to break and I wont be much over 450 to the wheels anytime soon..
Gears..3:73s or 3:90s with a blower/Nitrous car IMO..

M6.
I actually have a chance to pick up a 12 bolt with a spool and 3.73s for 1700. Does that sound like a good deal? I guess that could work ok for now and I run the car under 5k a year so the spool wouldnt be too bad right?

I sell the Moser 12 bolt and Moser 9 inch rears for the same price. A Moser nine inch with a spool is $2300.00 shipped. Lower control arm relocation brackets already installed are no extra charge. Here is a link to it. http://www.exoticperformanceplus.com....html?item=148 Bob
