my 10 bolt has been whinning like a mother like rediclously loud so i baught a spare and pulled my old one today pulled the cover and the gears didint look too bad but then i found 2 little chunks of metal and looked and a few of the teeth inside the auburn unit broke off is thar common ive never seen that before

I have a similar question. Are these differentials much better than stock? And about how much go do they hold up to?

I was just told that the car has the SLP option auburn differencial. I don't even know if it is an upgrade I just don't know why someone would mention it if it was stock

yeah it is an "upgrad" from the torsion and some people say it's will hold, but i imagine it will break sooner or later if you beat on it... and as far as the teeth breaking off im sure that is possible...

ive gone through 3 alburns and right now its broken and sitting there. there like 100 to rebuild also

you also have "458RWHP/493RWTQ" lol I have something closer to stock. I wouldn't expect any stock differential to hold up with your power lol

Where the red arrow is and to the left of it those 2 teeth are missing whats weird is it worked no problem and no noises
