Default formula or firebird

If the car is a formula then it should have firebird above the bird on the center panel and formula on the lower part of the doors.

You swapped in a ls1 FACTORY anything that says firebird only is a v6. So your vin number is a v6 vin right? so you still have a V6 car.

98-02 Firebird Formula's have a "Formula" Badge on the doors the same as the "Trans Am" and "Firebird" Badges on their corresponding cars from 93-02.

The 93-97 Firebird Formula does not have any badges on the doors. This may be what you're thinking of. The only indication it is a V8 (besides the dual exhaust) is the small "Formula" decal on the driver's headlight cover and the one on passenger side of the rear bumper cover.

And as stated previously in this thread, all the 4th Gen Firebird Formula say "Firebird" on the panel between the taillights. Only the Firebird Trans Am has a different ("Trans Am") label here.
