Default EFI w/ GMPP Carb Intake

I am doing some reasearch here, and I really like the LQ9 Builds I see. LQ9 Shortblock, L92 Heads, LS3 or L76 intakes do very well. If I wanted to go with this route, but get the GMPP Carb intake, and go fuel injected, could I use an ECM and Wiring harness from a late model vette, GTO, or F-body to run the engine or would I need to go custom Efi? I really love the look of the Carb intake with the fuel injection. Kinda looks like a happy medium between old school and new technology.

That looks like a Edelbrock Super Vic intake. And yes you can use the fbody harness, the Vette harness is for dbw and will be too much work to convert over to dbc. I recently completed the build of my 5.3 with the GMPP intake converted to efi, I'm using a truck harness and injectors though.

I believe that's the Performance Induction intake. It has the 4500 bolt pattern on it. It flows good, but it's not for the budget minded person.

Very nice I wasn't aware of anyone that's gone this route. I have no idea what dbw and dbc are. is that a throttle body on top of the intake or is that a MAF sensor? Do you run it as is or do you have an elbow and an Air filter on there? I've never seen a complete set-up like this. It's actually the first time I've heard of someone using a carb intake on a FI setup.

I just bought the engine master challange mag yesterday. the LS motors were using that Performance Induction piece. First time I've seen one. The mag said it bolted together to make it easier to port.

The engines in the mag were all 600-700 HP beasts, so looked like Obama sized budgets to me.

That is a Performance Induction Intake by Carey and a Accufab TB.
Not sure if the Factory ECU will control this TB or not. If it was able to, I am pretty sure you would have to use a F-body ECU since the throttle is is cable driven and tune in SD mode as well. The vette and GTO are both ETC.

You could run the carb intake with an elboe and a ls tb with the stock computer.

I'm going to run a carb hat and ram-air intake setup.

I used a Victor Jr with an accufab on top so I could get the air cleaner up in my SS cowl.

Bump as there is some good stuff. Will an accufab run off the stock Fbody ECM?
