Default stains

i got bird **** looks like that has left a stain on the hood. can you use compound to rub it out or buff the hood some?? whats the best way to get stains and slight scratches out of the clear coat?

Try claybaring it first.

If that doesn't work, try to score some of the compunds body shops use then buff it out. You can try some of the 3M products too.

tried a clay bar its in there too deep might take a look at 3M stuff but i'm wondering what can you use on clear coats and what can't you use on it...

Most of the products have it written on the label if tehy are safe for clear coats or not. I had a permanent bird poop stain that didn't come off until I repainted the hood. Sucks.

The only way to really remove it is to use abrasives, which are harmful for the clear coat.
