Default Satin, Flat, or Matte Black Berger

i have a black z28 and wanting to paint the berger. i just want to see some pictures of black cars with their bergers painted in satin, matte, or flat black. im not really sure on the difference on those 3 colors either.

black looks best with no berger, IMO.

but if your really set on this, i'd highly recommend satin. everyone needs to stay FAR, FAR away from flat black for anything that is seen on the outside of the car. it doesn't look good, it looks like your too cheap or lazy to finish a paint job.

there's someone on here with a black SS LT1 with a satin black berger, and black gs stripes, and his car looks pretty damn clean. thats the one black car i've liked it on. but still, id never do it, looks perfect as is

I'd leave it gloss, but if you do paint it use satin. Flat has no shine, matte has little gloss, and satin has a little more. Or something like that

I like satin

Not a black car, but it gives you an idea of what the satin sheen is like.

i agree and disagree. berger mod on black cars is a no no, but flat black bergers on other cars has kind of grown on me

I purchased another panel and had it painted and kept my original, I can always change them in and out and its the best of both worlds.

The car is already black so I don't see a point in doing this. It will look like the paint has faded compared to the rest of the car. Just get some rear fill ins to make the rear pop a little.

Satin, and I say do it. It's a nice subtle mod on a black car.

I take my comment back. That actually looks pretty good. Subtle yet nice.
