Crazy that Wolfe can take 2 years off and come out with an untested combo and run a 4.49.

We are here...the car is crazy fast...and very stable doing it. We figured that would be the fastest radial 1/4 if he was able to run it out the back by far. Alex Vettros went 4.60 when he went 6.8x.

It also my understanding Wolfe has been here since Monday testing prior to the race.

Still unbelievable.

I like having 4 seasons here in Ohio but seeing you guys racing right now kills me! sure wish I could head to the track for test and tune!

P.S. Maybe I am under a rock what race is this thread talking about? I would like to follow it and see. Since the debate is always bias vs. radial.

Killler times by alot of guys down there this weekend already.

To me, it looks like the tires, are about even. I don't see anything telling me that either one is a deal breaker at this point.

it was the greatest race (small or big tire) i have ever been to. glad we made the drive.

radial vs the world was incredible, but dont forget about what the 275 guys were doing. 4.90s is nuts on that small tire.

Didn't know you were there gator. It would have been cool to meet. I also got a kick our of the small tire cars and the radials in general. The street registered silver '93(?) Mustang notchback from Lousiana on the Goodyear radials running 5.4-5.5 was nuts. That was his fastest 1/8 mile time ever. And it has run 8.6 in the 1/4 in the past. There were several stupid fast street registered cars there.

Good stuff for sure.

Lost on a hole shot in the semis, 4.95 to a 5.01. Oh well, they had a great weekend.

They were flying this weekend. It was killing me not to be there.

Yeah I wanted to go very bad myself but 10+HOUR DRIVE. My older brother built the engine/trans and tuned Nick Owens twin turbo Mustang, they qualified 21st(4.71) out of 90 cars which is an accomplishment but lost after the second round. But just to qualify and win a round against the baddest TT5/drag radial cars in the country is awesome. Wish I could have been there. Later

So much for people saying that 4 second 1/8th mile times aren't possible on the 275 tire.

I'd like to see a breakdown from the weekend, slicks and radials, is that available anywhere? I'm still not sold on the radial being a faster tire then a full slick, I'd like to see how that played out over the course of the weekend.

John Kolivas ran a 4.79 several months ago on a 275DR....ran 7.3 in the 1/4. That was in NMRA SSO trim.

I guess the next big question....can a small block compete in DR?

I think Wolfe was just getting started, it'll go .30's before he is done.
