Default Which is the best bang for buck????

A bolt on and stalled C5 Coupe or a C6 Coupe with axle back and cold air? Trying to decide if i want to keep the C5 or upgrade to a 2005-2007 C6.

The c6 is a nice car, newer and the ls2 is a little better than the ls1. Personally I would wait for an 08+ car if I were making a change. You get the ls3 and t6060 trans and a few other options they added in 08 like mp3 input standard.

I agree but, by looking at your signatures you like automatics....a 2005 C6 A4(Hydra-Matic 4L65-E)has the strongest automatic tranny.
2006-2007 had many issues with the new paddle shifting tranny but the 2008 are by far the best ones if you want to go LS3 with the upgraded T6060 for the 6 Speed tanny or the 6 Speed Auto improved with new hardware and a new controller calibration

No doubt I would go with the C6 and the posts above are correct if you can afford an '08LS3 can then do so, however the 05-07 LS2 car is amazing as well. The new features in the '05 and up are really worth the difference IMO.

My '05 C6 M6 with a borla axle back and K&N FIPK make 375 to the wheels...and the interior differences are really worth the C6 over the C5.

Default Simple

The C5 is the best value.... it costs less (almost totally depreciated) and used parts are pennies on the dollar.

After seeing that point... if you still insist on a C6 then the argument isn't about "value" it's about something else.

Axle back on a stock car means nothing... A C6 with an axle back exhaust is going to be just as fast as a stock car. If you're going for speed, a C5Z is faster than an LS2 C6. With bolt ons, the C5Z is faster than all base C6s without question. The C5 coupe is a little heavier than the C5Z, but it's still lighter than the C6 base.

Default ?????

So based on me doing full bolt ons with the C5 i have, a 3200 stall, and lets just say a stage 1 H/C swap from Texas speed, AI, Lloyd Elliot, Livornois or Vengance with a 220/220 or 224/224 cam, how would this equate to a C6 ls2 or ls3 vette?
