Default LS6 Manifold?

Guys during my search I've found a lot of good info and even a few dyno results but not what I was looking for. I was thinking about purchasing one and seem to be overwhelmed by all the different "LS6" manifolds. Which one is the best and where can I get one. Maybe a link? I was wanting just a factory manifold if at all possible. And where can I get, or have done, a p&p throttle body? Thanks for the help guys.

A company on eBay sells brand new LS6 intakes off crate motors, with fuel rails and coolant crossover lines for $400 shipped. I had one, but didn't end up using it because I'm going with an L92/LS3 topend on my LQ4.

here is a quick question. the 01-02 fbodies have the LS6 intakes. how long did the Vettes have the LS6 intake before the Z06 came out? Have they always had the same intake? looking at pics, it looks like even the older vettes didnt have the EGR in the top....

Vette's wouldn't have had them until '01 also. Because the LS6 didn't come out until '01, when they introduced the Z06.

Watch the classifieds section. I'd be damned if I paid $500 for an LS6 intake. Also get the stock throttle body ported, do not waste $300 on a BBK throttle body.

Where can I have my throttle body ported? I don't want to have someone take a hacksaw to it. Hell, I can do that?

Also, what kind of horsepower can the manifold handle and is it the only alternative for the LS1? It may sound dumb but why won't an ls3 or 7 manifold work? Maybe I should search before I'm reamed over this, lol..........

Because they won't match up to the " Cathedral " port shape of the LS1/LS6 heads.
is it the only alternative for the LS1
No, the LS2 intake will fit and can use a 85mm throttle body but even with this larger TB your better off with the LS6. It has a larger plenum and flows better than the LS2.
what kind of horsepower can the manifold handle
I'm new, someone else answer this one.

just make sure you dont have a set of heads that outflows the LS6 intake. i had TSP PRC 2.5 5.3 heads and the LS6 intake was choking it. even tho my engine didnt make 450hp at the crank.
