Coilover questions...
What is the best coilovers options in your opinion? How low can I go with coilovers with the shock not bottoming out? Koni shocks seem to bottom out with how much I have it lowered. Want to go to coilovers but, don't want to worry about bottoming out. Is there ever any group buys on these coilovers? Thanks for any help. Looking to purchase this spring.

The Pfadt coil overs are great. When you lower a C5 on the bolts, you are cutting down on the shock travel. You can lower the car a good bit with the coil overs, however, you can lower it to where you can loose shock travel. I have mine really slammed. When the car is off the ground, the spring is about 1 inch from touching the spring support, which means I loose 1 inch of shock travel. I have not bottomed out yet. You can't go wrong with the Pfadt coil overs. I think they are the best and worth every penny!

Pfadt Coil Overs adjust the shock body when you change the ride height.
That way you are not effecting the stroke or travel of the shock or the spring rate.
They also have a sport shock that gives enough stroke length for lowered vette's with stock springs.
Dampening is adjustable with either shock.
My C5 was originally an F45 POS so I have the Phadt Coils & Sways on that. My C6 is a Z51 so I just have the Sport Shock on that.
Over on the other forum they come up used quite often, also some very good new pricing from Vendor's.

I'm loving my new LG GT2 coil overs.
Easy to adjust with the remote adjuster. No need to drill holes in the trunk !

I run Doug Rippie Motorsports(DRM) on my vette,... I love them. One of the best mods out of EVERYTHING on my car.
I have installed, and we run LG's setup on my cousin Josh's nitrous street vette,... he loves them.
I have installed breathless performance setups,... and I do not like them.
I heard good things about pfadts but, never installed them.
Do the coilovers,... and you will love your vette, or any car, all over again.
Promise.

Nice write up on the LG's, thanks for all of the information. The only thing that I don't fully understand is the yellow spring? The way that I would interpret the yellow spring is that your adding to your overall height of the spring which wouldn't allow your car to be as low. Maybe I am no viewing it correctly? Your car looks awesome and kinda what I am after. But I am trying to accomplish your height with out bottoming out. Illinois roads aren't as good as others....
Now I can't decide which to go with the LG's or the Pfadts.
In hopes with the coil overs I will rid of the wheel hop. I have heard that some guys get rid of it with coil overs.

The yellow spring is there because I wanted my car really low. Its only a 5lb spring. The only time it really comes into play is when my car is jacked up for maintenance. If it were not there, and I were to lift my car to perform work, the main spring has the possibility to come loose and get cockeyed in its perch. Hope that makes sense.

Not sure if others deal in them or not.
