I was able to get my gto dynoed and tuned today. The numbers werent as high as i hoped but it looks like i have something to work towards now. My best pull was 334.99 HP and 350.52 TQ. My hopes were 350 across the board but o well. Now its time to dive inside the engine i guess.

Im going to try and get the dyno sheet on my computer. I have the printed copy but i dont have a scanner so im going to take a pic of of it. Will see how that turns out.

You are almost exactly where I was when I had those mods. That was on a Dynojet at Speed, Inc.

Mine is an m6. It was tuned while I was there.
It was done on a dynojet.

those are good numbers for the mods you have on your car bro. youll break the 400+ with a few more mods, cam, heads etc.

I really would like to do a cam swap. I cant afford heads right now but a cam i could do. Ive looked at a lot of different cams and i just cant choose which one i want. Ive looked mostly at the TSP 228R but lately ive been considering a little smaller cam like the 224R. I dont know.

Well since your an M6 i would suggest the bigger one. Maybe even go a little bigger then that. WIth a good tune you wont lose too much driveability.

So? you also have a LS2 vs the OP's LS1.

I daily drive my car everyday to and from work. Its about 50 miles a day. I would be to afraid to go bigger then the 228R. Tuning is going to be the issue.

Save up for a supercharger, skip the cam :)

Also, your numbers are good for your mods.

+1.

I went with a big cam set up. It's not my daily driver so it's nice to be able to drive my GTO on nice days. However, if I had it to do over again, I'd go FI. The initial cost seems high, but either way you're going to be spending some cash!

BTW, I was in your neck of the woods (or should I say beach) last week. I go to Destin a couple times a year. I take 87 from I-10 and then just cruise 98 into Destin.

Ive been trying to convince my wife to let me get a supercharger but she freaks out about the 6 grand it would take. I have a hard enough time getting the little shit.

TSP228R cam drives really nice. I have it. Got me 380hp 370tq. on a mustang dyno.

Pretty good numbers... I wish i could do something like the torquer 2 or something like that but i know its juat a little to aggressive for a daily driver.

To the OP nice numbers. What shop tuned your car if you don't mind my asking? Any times from firebird?

I had it tuned by Restoration Rods. He has a dyno jet and hes a CMR dealer for Diablosport. He did a good job tuning it. It took an hour was all. I think i got like 7 pulls in if i remember right. As for Firebird not yet. Im planning on going in May for grudge night. Im hoping for 12's. Will see. Im getting my clutch done real soon it started slipping right after i left the dyno so i may have a little power left.

Those are almost the same as me with the same type of mods...

I was thinking about hitting that grudge night in may also, maybe I'll see you there, if I knew what color your car was  Anyways good luck on the 12's should be right there!

Ive got a black GTO with black rims. Yeah i will have my new monster stage 3 clutch and spintech mufflers installed this coming monday. Im also picking up a ported FAST 92 intake in the next couple of weeks. Should help out power a little bit.

nice, yeah that should help out for sure. Why you getting rid of the flowmasters, dont like how they sound or just trying to sqweek every hp out of it you can? :D

I want it louder. Ive heard the Spintechs and i really like them. Do you want to buy my Flowmasters?

if you are getting the FAST intake i would also get the cam at the same time. just the fast alone i dont think you will gain much. then after the cam get a nice set of heads to make your intake shine. you could run the 243 heads like most the masses or save up for somthing like the 215 AFRs, thats what im doing, and really get that heavy bitch moving lol. your cam will define your daily drivabilty.

just my 2 cents

That aluminum flywheel made a nice improvement. It does seem to rev a lot faster. By the way the Spintech Mufflers are bad ass! A lot better then the Super 44's

Numbers sound about right to me, check sig for my mine. Dynos are for tuning, so dont be upset if you didnt reach your goal. Id rather have a car that ran low 12's with a low reading dyno, than high dyno numbers and mid 13 second runs all day long.

You should post up a vid with the new spintechs installed so we all can hear how they sound. :D
