What do you want to know about it? Looks like a good DD cam, and some nice heads. It wouldn't be bad for someone who wants some more power with daily driver streetability.

My car's not a DD so if the cam is to small then it may not be for me. I was thinking either this package or a FM F14HL cam with either AI or PET ? (not sure if that's right) ported LS6 heads. Not sure which would be better for my set-up.

I've seen those kits, the numbers look pretty optimistic, but they are still nice set ups for a pre-packaged kit.

A cam/ported 243's would be cheaper than a cam/TFS 215 combo. But the TFS heads are pretty nice.

As for whether the cam is too small, thats really up to you. That cam is on the lower side of a mid sized cam I would say. You could definitely go bigger, but I wouldn't say its a bad cam.

You could step it up to a mid 230's cam, and make some good ET's and still have a nice weekend driver.

Absolutely. 515fwhp is pretty accurate though if this combo goes on a car with all the supporting mods.

yeah ive seen the kits, and it is advertised flywheel. which isnt super impressive numbers rwhp, i think in the last thread i seen about the package, it was determined that there are numerous ways to get that hp level cheaper. basically at 15% drivetrain loss (avg...) thats around 440rwhp. which is a pretty stout number, but at the tune of 3300 bucks for parts, thats pretty expensive for my taste, but hs rockers and tfs heads arent cheap either. also, the kit doesnt have a few things id change in the swap either, so itll probably go up to 4-4500 bucks. oil pump, timing chain, lifters.

all in all i think its a sweet package, if i had the money id be running some tfs heads too. i scrounged for a set of used tsp 243s (900), pat g cam (400), and throw in the other parts im looking at 2-2500 total.

not trying to knock this product and im interested in seeing someone with the kit. im a cheap *** and i bargain shop alot....

TFS are really nice heads and all things being equal will make better power than any OEM ported casting. If you want really nice heads look at AFR and Performance Induction too. They are the big three IMO. I know one guy with the PRC 215's and they made great #'s but he has never tracked it.....

It's expensive. You can make just as much power with a good set of assembled GM casting ported heads with a nice cam package. With the money saved you can get intake, full exhaust,or other supporting mods. Check with Texas Speed, my car runs great for a TSP budget build.

ws6 stores has a head/cam/rocker arm pkg for $1900.but I hear patriot cams are old in design and lacking in potential power making.TSP has many head/valve train pkgs for grate prices.

The kit looks pretty good. If you want a bigger cam I am sure they can help you with that also. The other thing I would change in the kit is GM head bolts.

FLAT WRONG. I guarantee you 99% of the 346 cars makin 475+ are NOT OEM headed. A good aftermarket casting will make more power everytime than a OEM casting. The only exception I have seen is a T4P ls6 casting but it is more $$$ than a TFS/AFR/PI head. But the aftermarket heads have a thicker deck and beefier rocker bosses so what is really a better head???? I can tell you...
