Halos or polish/replace headlight?
I'm the 2nd owner of my car. The previous owner had some minor front end damage and the shop replaced the driver's side headlight but not the passenger side, leaving me with one clear and one yellow light. Should I replace both lights with Halo's, try to sand/polish the passenger side headlight with this kit, or just replace the headlight (~$150 from gmpartsdirect.com)?

I would just replace it with the factory one or the halo if I had the money. Nothing beats a brand new part because the fading would always be uneven if you just replace one. The halo ones make the car look meaner!

I can't say I like the halo's. Judging from the pictures I've seen, they just don't follor the body lines of the hood, and look out of place. I would definitely suggest replacing them though as they would never quite match, as joeyspeed said.
Good luck!

Here is a collection of different cars with halo headlights on them: link
Also, here is a good before/after shot of the blacked-out halo's installed on a black car (grill added in between too). Personally, I much prefer the clear chrome ones for my car. I think the blacked-out lights make it more obvious that the lights don't follow the lines like the stockers do.

Still don't like em after the pics. They just don't look right with the lines of the hood. I think Halo's on their own are bad ***, just don't look like they belong. But it's your call when all is said and done!

I think they make the headlights look a little **** eyed or something, I'm kinda in the middle, but i do have major headlight fade (alot worse than chili peppers) but by looking at my sig pic you would know....... (pssssst.. dont tell anybody my headlights look like crap underneath the covers)

I'd never seen a halo until this post. I have to say they look pretty sharp, but I also really like the look of the factory light. The chrome version looks wicked on that black Z. If it's between halos or covers, go with the halos. I hate those blasted headlight covers. They're just plain dangerous in my opinion.

Although halo's are nice for actual lighting, I though the ones with black trim on them look kinda shoddy. Once I seen that pic of the chrome trim halo's I thought they look awesome though. I'm guessing that price on the link is for the pair of halos since they show a pair sitting there? I'd definitly go with the chrome halos, for the same price your getting a better light that looks better and it can't be any cheaply made than the stock GM light. So my vote is for those chrome halos, they'd look sweet with the red on your car.

How bout some REAL GLASS to clip on the headlamps? I don't understand the plastic crap, thats ghetto as the 5.0 i used to have.
Can you buy new plastic? mines cracked or bubbling due to heat/age. It appears they come apart. I'd prefer a glass lens option so it doesnt fade to yellow in 5 years (yeah i'll probably be driving it still).
any options on doing that?
