The biggest the car allows and also what the rules allow for.

I'd put'em on an auto. They don't grow and side to side tire pressure differentials don't affect tire height to the extent of a bias tire. Just warm em up and run.

I've heard that bias ply is alittle more forgiving for a bad prepped track, and tend to be alittle more consistent. But I personally like radials better..

Oh, I misread the question. Yeah, stuff as much tire under there as you can.

If the track is known to be good, yes. If your heading to a shithole throw the slicks on.

Slicks will be more consistent at just about any track....over a radial IMO anyway. My 60's were 1.47-1.51 on a nice summer day with radials and with my 28x10.5's they were 1.43-1.44 all day.

run a slick or a radial slick. if you are serious about braket racing, you put on the biggest slick you can find that will handle any track surface. bracket guys overtire cars and go rounds.

Radials are for ET/MPH records

As mentioned, consistency is more important. I would give up a little ET any day to be more consistent.
Stuff the biggest true slick you can in there and forget it.
