Default electrical issue/ exhaust help

I got my car back from the shop last week from an accident i had. Now, when I open the door on the drivers side, maplights dont come on, and the radio doesnt stop playing. BUT when I open the pass. door, the maplights come on and the radio stops. What got crossed? how easy is that to fix?

also i have an exhaust rattle now. bad. I took it to an exhaust shop and he couldnt find it. none of the pipes are hitting up front, and he said he didnt see much in the back. When i turn, or start out, they rattle and it feels like right underneath the floor boards. Where can i start?

You got hit square on part of the door where the sensor lives that signals to the BCM when the door is open/shut. Either it needs to be replaced or your body shop didn't hook it up right. The sensor is in the module that houses the lock etc. and bolts the rear part of the door. You should be able to take it back to your body shop and have them add it to your insurance company's tab.

Your rattle may not be exhaust. Again, I would think that your body shop should be able to deal with the discrepancy.

I dont think they hooked it up right, because now everything the driver's side door did (ie- turning the map lights on, door lights- the passenger door does now.

Either door will do those things independently. The BCM actually controls all of them and that BCM looks at the door sensors, which are a part of the latch mechanism on each side.
