OK To Start Car? (Half New Plugs)
Hoping for a quick response.
Just got the drivers side done with new plugs and wires. Want to go ahead and start it up, so if something is a miss, I will know it is on the side I just worked on.
Is this ok to do? Or will it cause a problem?

Well, no lights came on and no abnormal sounds heard. So guessing I am A-OK on the drivers side.
Gonna tackle the passenger side in the morning. A little worried about the #8. And these universal joints are a PITA at times as you still can't get good movement with the ratchet, and have a crazy angle making it difficult either way.

Well I just did my passenger side today and I've gotta say I think #8 was fairly easy. I went at it from underneath. I had a tougher time with getting the wire off of #6 in fact it broke off.

Hope it goes smoothly for me, like I mentioned above the universal joint helps, but since it has so much play in it, still doesn't seem safe to crank on plug... (shrug)

no need to do one side at a time just to see if all works out fine, but if thats what you need to do to feel good then thats all fine too, but realy. not need to. do you remove the coil packs to get to the number 8? it makes it easier.. I just dont install the last bolt cause that makes it a pain to swap plugs.....

1) Was starting to get dark, and didn't want to screw around with a drop light.
2) If it was running bad and/or a light came on, I knew it was related to the drivers side since it was the only one I had done. Just would have helped me troubleshoot faster instead of checking each individual thing.
For the passenger side, I plan on undoing the 4 front coil bracket bolts, and just loosing the rear one and rotate it towards the intake. And take off the AIR tube like I did on the drivers side to free up some space.
About to get to bed so I can wake up early and knock out that side, and jump on my homework... oh yay!
Night all.

hell its just a coil bracket bolt, didnt know that was somethin hard. lol
i would Hate to see what u do on brakes, or i guess a camshaft swap would really be out of u'r league. especially since that little bolt gave u so much trouble

Didn't get a chance to do the passenger side yesterday as planned... But had a concern.
When I put the plugs in, they threaded nice and smooth, but when I put the wires on, they seem to be a little shorter than the stock ones, and noticed they angle slightly from the coil pack to the plug. Attached is a few pics. Everything look ok?

I can tell the factory wires were higher up on the coil pack, but don't recall if the wires were slightly skewed to the left before taking everything off.
I reused the head-shields, so maybe that is causing it with the MSD wires. (shrug)
thanks for the input everyone.
Car drove fine to the park and ride this morning, idled smoother, seemed a little more peppy, and when rpms dropped between shifts, didn't dip at all. So pretty sure everything is A-OK. Just hoping that I didn't thread them crooked, but figured that would be pretty damn difficult, but wanted to ask.
Probably have to wait till Saturday now to do passenger side, as it is pretty dark by the time I get home from work.
