Default Best place to get power antenna motor?

Seems like my power antenna is going. I can hear the motor running when I start the car or shut it off, but the mast itself doesn't raise or lower.

Does anyone know a good place to get a new one?

Thanks!

Do yourself a favor....go to PepBoys, Advance, Bennett, AutoZone.....and buy a pack of rubber caps for vacuum ports. Break the antenna off so about 6 inches is left sticking up. Put the rubber cap on and your done.

I did that a month ago and the reception is 100% perfectly the same. No reason to get a new motor.

Usually what happens is the mast itself breaks. It has a toothed plastic piece that fits inside the shaft and attaches to the motor. The toothed piece will break, and the mast will no longer move up and down when the motor runs.
I would remove the entire assembly and inspect the mast/toothed plastic piece. We have successfully replaced it on an 02 WS6. The GM part number for the mast is ACDelco 10256439, and can be purchased at a dealer or online, such as GMPartsDirect.

I agree. i bought my T/A almost 6 years ago with this very problem and i was able to replace the mast. The only issue with mine is that because the old mast's gear is broken down in the motor, that it doesn't qo all the way down. It doesn't look bad though. I've had people compliment me on here on my "shorty" antenna and then they are suprised to find out its a stocker thats a shorty when off but then extends to the full height when the radio is on.

Just replace it with a new GM one and wire in a switch; that way you can raise the antenna when you want to. If you are listening to CDs or MP3s you don't need the antenna up, so why waste the motor/mast teeth? I don't know about you but I listen to the radio rarely, except in the morning on way to work.

Yes it is. Just go to pic-a-part and pull off the antenna and all the wiring that runs up to the back of the radio. then $3 later you have a fixed position antenna
