Default 1994 Z28 with carbed 383 SBC!

We just got it finished and it turned out great, hope to get sone pics up soon. We took it to the track Sat and it ran 6.44 @ 103 on the bumper in the 1/8, 60ft was 1.43 with the rear tires. If I can get it to stay down some it should run 6.3's.

Cam? Solid roller I presume? That's a seriously deep gear! Is the car stripped? Nice pass

Ya it's a small soild roller, 249/254 .621 lift. I use the gear because I only run 1/8 mile and I have a powerglide with a 1.76 first gear. No the car is not totally stripped, it still has all the factory glass and door panels, but everything else is gone.

I have 1 3/4 Hooker super comp headers. They are the same ones that I had on my LT1, and the plug access is about the same.

Update: We took a couple degs of timing out and with the warmer weather the car stayed down around waist high with some 1.33 60ft. We also installed an air pan that only allow the carb to get air from the cowl, I'll get pics soon. This I believe mad the car deadly consistent, and the proof is that I was dead on my dial-in six rds in a row, and if I hadn't been sleeping at the light I would have been in the finals against my buddy.

The heads started out at 195cc and were cnc ported by Advanced Induction to there current 215cc, and as the #'s show they did a pretty good job.

Well, since my last post I've been fine tuning the carb and the suspension and the car has been awesome. So then I decided to get a custon cam ground for my setup. Well the car made so much more power it went right back on the bumper after all my tuning to get it to stay down. It was so high I had to get out of it and I set it down pretty hard, but only screwed the steering up. Now I'm going to take some rear gear out of it and hopes that tames it down, if not wheelie bars for sure. When I get some new times I'll post them up, but I think it should run 6.20's 1/8 mile. Later

13.5, 263/271 640/640, and I forget the #'s but you can go to Advancedinduction.com and see the flow data.

Zones, it was fun until it came back down.

That is awesome. At first I thought you meant they were a shelf pair of fast as cast tfs 215s aparantly not. Deep 6's on the motor is great for a 3200lb car. how much converter are you running? some 4.10s or 4.3s ought to help keep the nose down some. You run an adjustable front strut to help slow transfer? I am really starting to get into learning how to set up suspensions. Keep me posted on the kinda changes you are making please.

Well, went to Rockingham to the Div 9 Bracket Finals and ran a personal best on the brakes no less. Had I not been forced to hit the brakes it may have run a few hundredths faster and around 106.5-107 mph. The 456 gears really did the job of keeping the front end down, it leaves around knee high now instead of head high. What is most amazing to me is even after knocking a ton of gear out of the car it still runs a new best, just with less 60ft, and all that is made up by the 330ft it's incredible.
