As you can see in the pictures, the billet grille (from 6LE) has 9 horizontal bars and 8 spaces in between. So the emblem HAS to be off center, which I don't mind one bit. I just happen to prefer it on the lower rung!

look good on your car i did the same process to my car.
i am going to have the front bumper cover repainted and when i do im going to have the camaro filled it and the holes filled also i think that would make a good difference.
my pic is a phone pic so they resized it when i sent it to my pc so excuse the shitty quality lol.

How does your grille attach? The 6LE one is via four screw holes towards the center of the grille. I've heard the ebay ones use some type of fasteners or rivets?

Looks great. Thank you for taking the time to paint behind the grille. It makes a world of difference.

I'm contemplating moving the emblem up one notch, so the larger gap is on bottom. I did a quick photoshop of the expected results - up vs down below.

The SS emblem is a little bit skewed to the left, but that's easily fixable. It is not upside down though, as the way it sits the bottom of double S base is wider than the top, which is correct.

Me, I don't notice much difference. I think some people on here are too picky. See below.

I have the same grille with the badge flipped and moved up a few bars. The reason 6LE puts them like that is to make them more similar to 69 camaros. But I think it looks much better flipped/moved. Anyways it's your car leave it if you like it. But I love your car and the grill ads a lot to it. Look great!

Man, I always have to step in and set the record straight on friggin emblem placement, lol!

First of all, SS is NOT upside down...

Second of all, lower is where all the high dollar 4th Gens have it...

Up close it looks odd, away from the car it looks right...

Hmmm. After looking at yours I have the sudden urge to move it DOWN a rung.

I think I'll leave mine how it is, just correcting the very slight "crookedness."

I knew I wasn't the only one that had a slight preference for the lower mounted and correct orientation of the Chevy SS emblem.

Thanks Mark!
