Default Question about bleeding...

So tonight I did the drill mod to my 2000 Z28. When I went to bleed the system I did it like the write up says which was depress clutch - open bleeder - close bleeder - release pedal. So upon releasing the pedal everytime (about 10-15 times) we always had to pull the pedal off the floor. So I ended up having to pump the pedal with the bleeder closed about 50-60 times until the pedal was normal feeling. Is this normal?

did you bench bleed the master before installing, if not that is probably what took all the time, getting the air out of it.

Yes it is. When you open and close the bleeder, make sure you do it pretty fast. When I get close to being finished, I open and close it as fast as I can.
