Default How to tune out EGR/AIR/rear O2's?

Swapping in headers and a TSP Rumbler X. What's the most affordable, but still reasonably easy, way of tuning out the codes for these three systems?

it's gonna seem obvious but go to a local tuner they can do it for cheap. My understanding it should be less than $100 from what others have posted.

If you don't have a tuning system ie HPT or EFI live then you are going to have to go to a tuner.

I don't see how it will be less than $100. Doesn't a tuner have to buy a license for each car they tune or at least it will consume a point in the stream, regardless of the number of changes to be made???

If I were to buy either EFI or HPT to hook up to my laptop, will those be able to accomplish what I want? Are there any REALLY good reviews of the two systems on here that I'm just blind and not seeing in the stickies?

HP Tuners is the ****. I bought it 2 years ago and I've already learned alot. To disable egr and rear o2's, you just go into the program and turn them off. It's really easy, i can't remember the exact way to do it since its been so long since i've turned both of them off. But I'm about to go back in and turn EGR voltage on so I can read my wideband

Buy the program then you can do anything. I have HPTuners, it works good, yes turning off those codes is in the DTC section and it is easy. That was the first thing that I did when I got HP. It's big $ to buy either HP or EFI, but worth it to be able to tune and scan. Go for it. Just don't expect any tuning support from the software company. They write software, they are not engine guys. Your best help resource is here online.
GTA, you may find someone that will program out those codes for $200. Just add another $300 and you can buy the program, then you are in control of unlimited changes.

Yeah i'm with you like 50 bucks^. Money would be better spent on more mods. Ythe most i could see would be a mail order tune from Frost for 125.

No, once you buy either a stream license (EFI Live) or a model year license (HP Tuners) or the the correct VDF file (Tuner Cat), you can do all the vehicles you want covered by that license

Okay, thanks for taking the time correct me. Since the EFILive and HPTuners unlimited license is serious dinero at 2-3 thousand plus dollars (I don't know about C.A.T.S.) I am surprised the folk that pay these prices, who are likely professionals, are willing to even look at a pcm let alone tune it for $50. I simply have never had knowledge of these bargain programmers. Apparently they do exist. This is good news for gta3uzi.

Thank you for your input. I think I'm going to go with HPT. Lots of research to do if I'm to do my own tuning... Any good resources? Definitely checking out the stickies some more to see if they have anything on the subject. Going bolt-ons and then once I have those done cam / heads / stall.
