Default Could Someone Write Up a list of Gaskets I'm Gonna Need?

Hey guys,

I pulled my motor, and I'm swapping EVERYTHING from my block to a bare shortblock. I have to swap the heads, cam, timing chain, eeeeeeverything from the cam to the intake manifold. Could someone type out what gaskets/seals I'm going to need? I know the normal stuff like head gaskets, but there are some things I don't know about, and I'd like to buy everything in one shot.

Much appreciated, thanks guys.

Yeah its funny how this place picks and chooses when they help. It was not easy for me to find the p/n for the gaskets since there are so many so in the end I had GM Parts Direct get the list together for me. On and by the way, GM Parts Direct is the cheapest you will find but they kill you on shipping. However Summit will be their shipped price by $1 for each item.

Also I found ARP studs for stupid cheap $215 for the studs I need for my 04+ LQ9. PM me for the info on those... don't want to give out too much info on the open forum that pertains to non-sponsor deals

Oh and the head gaskets I have listed (12622033) are the LS9 7 layer MLS gaskets... Check out the price lol... everyone else want over $100 for the set where as GMPD has them for $37 each and again, Summit will beat that by $1

Felpro always treated me nicely on my third gen. I've never had to change any gaskets yet on the WS6.

Why go with Felpros when you can get LS9 7 layer gaskets for $36 each?

How much was the complete kit through TSP?

Felpro makes all the gaskets for the lsx not just head gaskets, I'm using cometic mls gaskets. GM's mls gaskets are a great gasket too.

When I was building/buying my forged engine I was dealing with jayson the owner. This was about 5 years ago when the modding began. I would just give them a call in the morning john and matt are great to talk to as well.

I wonder if they can beat Summits price. I would rather buy from a sponsor but sadly with today economy every penny counts.

Like I said, I found some ARP 04+ head studs for $215 (vs $270+), the deals are out there if you take the time to look.
