Default LS1 To LS6 intake

Just wondering what the power gains are switching from a LS1 intake to an
An LS6. Is the power more noticable in the upper or lower end? Im assuming top end is better.

Most people seem to find gains anywhere from 10-20 hp, mostly top end of the power range. Personally i've noticed a slight difference top end, but what surprised me is that my idle improved alot, enough to get the car cammin really nice and consistent. Maybe i accidently fixed something else in the process lol

Typically picks up in the neighborhood of 15 to the ground. It will pick up across the board with the larger gains being higher the the powerband.

I noticed a difference when I did mine. No dyno stats to prove it but definately a difference.

Not that much on a stock engine.

I read numerous times that a ported TB doesn't really do nothing except improve throttle response, but not really gaining HP.

So would more power be noticable with h/c?? and if you gain top end with an LS6 would it help on an A4 stock since my car seems to have great low end power but dies a little bit after 3rd grear...and is this a good setup to use with nitrous??

Yea it would be more noticeable with Heads/Cam..the LS6 Intake would really help out there.

Would adding an LS6 manifold be a wasted mod without headers?
I would think the extra airflow would get bottlenecked at the stock exhaust manifolds.

I was considering the LS6 intake manifold also because my A4 is pretty well **** up a little bit after 3rd gear also, im thinking some 3:73's and LS6 manifold should help that a little???

The LS6 intake will flow better, and their might be some minor measureable gains, but you really need a cam (or better yet heads/cam) to make it shine.

It's a good mod, but don't expect much from it on an otherwise stock motor.
