Default How much was your true dual exhaust?

I've been searching for a shop to design and install a true dual exhaust on my 01 SS. I have stainless full length headers installed and want to replace everything behind the headers with true dual, x pipe and 6 litereater designs cme tip (provided by me). So far I've everyone I've spoken to has given me qutoes over a thousand dollars, is this a good price? How much did you guys spend on your exhaust?

I'm thinking of doing the same thing to my 2001 vert. $1000+, not sure if that's good or not. I'd like to see some answers...

I paid 300 for my install and it was all fab work and that included mufflers and tips. Seeing what some of you guys are getting quoted I'd say I got a great deal.

I did my own with mandrel bends. Ive got about $100 into bends and pipe and another $40 into a Dynatech V clamp so I can remove the transmission if needed.

Since you are in DFW, look up Mike Hutto. He'll probably build one for ya.

I got mine done at a local shop for $400 for an equal length H pipe without cats and Kooks Racing mufflers dumped at the axle. It sounds really good but I couldn't stand my T/A without tips in the bumper so I had them extended under the axle for another $100 bucks. All 3'' piping from the headers to the tips. A little much but i'm planning for my cam so it'll be nice when I throw in that MS4 . Maybe I should Post some pics...

But IN MY OPINION I think my H pipe sounds a little bit better than my friend's X pipe. It sounds a bit less raspy than his but then again it could just be my imagination. Although, I could just be biased
