First night at the strip. 12.1 @ 118
Took my maggie'd 05 to Houston Raceway Park this past friday. All things considered I was very happy with the car. I ran it exactly the way i drive it every day, except with a set of BFG drag radials on a second set of stock rims. I only made two passes because the clutch started slipping on the 2nd pass on the 2nd-3rd and 3rd-4th shifts. It's the stock clutch so I knew it was on borrowed time.
At 118 mph it has the potential for mid 11 second ET's, just need to get the launch down. The 1.99 60' times are horrible, but it's hard to get a 2 ton car off the line quick.
The link to mods and dyno sheet is here, https://ls1tech.com/forums/texas-mem...v-results.html The graph doesn't show psi, but it begins to drop at 5k rpm from a max of 8psi to 5.9psi at redline.
I have the rest of the pulleys for an 8 rib kit and a ECS belt tensioner on order, hope that will cure the belt slip.
Dyno showing the belt slip.

Damm nice times, new clutch I think 11's can happen.
Can I ask what you have for a rear end , which gen, also any axles?
Cause if your running DR's I dont think you have the 05 diff anymore but I gott know

Still running the factory diff, the previous owner claimed to have the upgraded gen 2 diff installed but I have not verified this. I'm not sure how to tell the different generations apart. I do know I have the smaller 04-05 ~1.25" axles, and the diff whines horribly.
Also have the grey creative Steel motor mounts and black diff mount, stock trans mount. Bmr pinion brace and Bmr wheel hop kit.

Mid 12's with your spray should be no problem, if you can keep the tires from boiling when the nitrous hits. How are you going to activate the nitrous, progressive controller?
I've played with nitrous before on a 98 camaro, its ADDICTIVE!!

Very nice time, glad you were able to drive her home. Other than Gene (screen name stkshtr), you have what I think is the lowest 1/4 time for a maggied V1---!!!

Assuming you are talking about Mo Powah, I would like to see a copy of his time slip. I'm betting he ran a 11.6 with a 1.9x 60' time, meaning he made up the time on the big end... Probably trapped a low 12x mph. But it would be nice to verify. Our times may only be .5 seconds apart but from a roll race he would OWN me.

Or did you slip it out?
I cant wait to snag a gen 2 and hit the track soon.

Gene ran 11.853@121mph, and I am pretty sure it was a stock rear-end. He may now have an upgraded rear, and if so, will probably go very low 11s.

I have a twin disc left over from my camaro that I'm going to give a shot first. Not that i have anything against Monster, but I think they should offer a twin.
1.71 sixty on the stock rear, thats pretty impressive.
I held the rpms at 2k then pulled my left foot quick and floored it with the right once I felt the clutch grab. I didn't sidestep or drop the clutch, just a quick release. The car was bogging a little, and i probably could have raised the launch rpms to 2500, but with the clutch slipping on the second pass I didn't have many chances to adjust the launch.

He went 11.8 with the Madman if I remember correctly. I think it broke soon after or something. Im not doubting its potential at all and am in no way saying its not fast, im pointing out the fact that a car with that much money and power doesnt go THAT much faster on the strip(damn cadillac's lol)
