I'm not being very helpful here I know, but is there any reason you're wanting a 12" subwoofer over a 10"? If its because you already have a 12 I understand, just curious.

I've got one that I need to sell.

TZ: 12" subwoofers are CONSIDERABLY better than 10"s, even though most 12" want more airspace than we can give them in this application, but there are still some awesome ones that work here.

Actually, it depends on the subs, but there are 10's out there that hit as hard, or harder then a 12. And i believe ebay has stealth boxes if i remember correctly, and at a decent price.

No, there aren't. When comparing SOME 12s, there are sometimes some 10s like the TC Sounds/Audiopulse LMS Ultra that hit harder, but what you said is not true at all because a 12" LMS Ultra hits harder still. I doubt that anyone on this site uses a 10" subwoofer in a stealthbox that can handle what my Fi Q12 did, even though it's not the best 12" (though it's still very good). Besides, most people on this site are using junk like Alpine Type R.

Twelves are usually no better than a ten of the same style/series of subwoofer. they all share a common design, usually they have the same voice coil, same motor structure, and sometimes even the same spider. The only gain the 12 would give is a little more cone area. The ten would have an advantage because it requires slightly smaller volume.

I do agree though, there are some 12" subs that work really well in very little airspace.

Er, given equal excursion limits, 12" has 44% more surface area than 10". That's considerable.

Er, Ok then considerably more cone area would be the only advantage. My main point was there's not that much of a difference in the quality or build between most 10" and 12" subwoofers. I'm not trying to start an argument I'm just saying that a 10" sub does have some advantages over a 12" sub in certain applications, namely ones that are limited by volume.

I did say SOME 10's will outdo 12's, a lot of factors come in to play though.. Anyway, here's an example of two 10's that a lot of 12's couldn't do:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U7N0r2TXc_M
and
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=igERs...eature=related
But it all depends on box type, power, tuning, etc..

Back on topic: OP, did you find a pass. side stealth yet? If not, you could also think about possibly making one, may be a little cheaper long as you have an idea of what to do.

Could ask a local shop and get a price quote if nothing comes up. Can't see it being TOO expensive, but i guess it depends on the shop.

Naw, mine's for the driver's side. Didn't even notice the passenger side qualification in the OP.

Even I don't make one for the passenger side. It would actually be better though as you can have more airspace volume on that side then the drivers side.

I got a 12W6 over there, on the drivers side. Sounds great. T-tops still fit. Still have spare tire. Still have 12 disc. it rocks. I'll put a pic up later.
