VFN has lightweight ones on their site. I'm just not sure how you go about ordering them.

When I ordered my hood from VFN they recommended that I use their lightweight hood struts. I would contact VFN and see what they can do for you.

Default hood struts

got them at autozone.Made by Stabilus, but a Sachs name on the bag. Anyway the part# is SG330017.They work great! DO NOT use the stock ones! they're rated at 95psi,35-45 is the right psi.I also seen them listed on ebay.Just Google SG330017.Also they're listed for a Buick Reatta trunk strut.Used them on my Formula.

Ive had good luck with my Harwood hood using one blown one and one stock one....

However the hood does pop up pretty hard when I pop it...I will watch this thread and maybe change mine out if you find some that are good..

I just searched them, available only by special order from autozone.

Unless you somehow came across some, I'd be more likely to get the VFN set.
