Default Taking apart stock fog housings -Trans Am

I tried to do this a few months ago with no luck. I put them in the oven on 200 or so degrees for around 15 minutes or so and couldn't get them apart.

Are we sure these things are just on with glue? I would love to finally get these open to do this little project!

Also, are the DRL the same way?

Try it with a Dremel and a cutting disc.

That wouldn't harm the plastic..?

I was thinking of getting a glass lense to put back on it.. Or maybe a thick thing of plexi?
I honestly don't know too much about this type of thing, I try though.

I was hoping I could just pull them apart. If anybody out there has done this, LET ME KNOW HOW!!

yeah for the housings that you cant heat up the seals on, youd want to cut the housing (metal part, not lense) as straight as possible. Once youre done doing cool **** in there use a silicon/epoxy bead to seal it back up.

then post pics.

On the fogs the entire housing is plastic. If they didn't use glue from the factory to hold the plastic lens onto the plastic housing, how else would it be held on there?

Just curious, what was the reason you did it?

Is there anyway to make them not look so gray/dull-ish?
