Default SS Hood

Has anyone cut out the small outlets inside the SS hood? These outlets is where the air gets in from the outside to the air filter. Maybe I'm not making sense ... Anyone know what I'm talking about? It seems that instead of having 4 or 5 outlets, you could have 1 big one, with perhaps less restriction.

Several have done it. SLP says it voids the warranty on the hood so depending on your car you may want to think about that.
