Default Where to tape off bumper for CETA mod?

Where are most of you guys taping off your rear bumper when doing the CETA mod?

Do you paint black right into the indentation or do you leave the indent body color?

thanks..

I actually masked off the area just outside of the indentation and painted inside the groove. Really easy mod...looks awesome! I just used some black Krylon Fusion (made specifically for plastic) semigloss paint from Walmart. It's been several months now and it still looks great! Hope this helps.

I painted the indention on my old 97 TA, but I really wish I taped the inside of the indention with some pinstripe tape, I think it looks much better that way

I just did a buddies pewter TA and I also painted inside the indention. Looks pretty good but honestly either way you go it will look about the same. Just use some blue plastic tape, or "fine line" as i call it to lay down first... its much easier to work with on the curves and it leaves a more fine line than reg masking tape.

Something to keep in mind that I never though of until it was too late is to be sure and mask over the Licence Plate light. it's up in there a ways, but I got a little paint on mine.

You can unscrew the tag light and move it out of the way. When I did my buddies I just took the whole bumper off and it was much nicer to paint that way.
