Default What does it take for a t56 to bolt into a lq4 or lm7?

I'm planning on buying a lm7 or lq4 engine for my 1980 Trans Am and wondering what it takes to bolt a t56 into a lq4 or lm7 truck engine? Or does it bolt right in? If I remember correctly I read somewhere that a lq4 needs to be 03 or newer to work with a t56, is that true? Any info is appreciated.

it depends on the actual transmission. you will most likely have to install a clutch pilot bushing/bearing, but the tranny will determine where in the crankshaft its mounted and therefore, which is the proper one. also a clutch and hydraulics to actuate the clutch.

Hmm... Sounds like a headache, lol. So depending on the year or the car that a t56 came from will make a difference in what truck motor it can fit without major modofications?
